“The future looks bright for shared, autonomous mobility!

Sandra Phillips, the newly crowned winner of Next Visionaries 2017, was one of the six finalists who took to the TED stage on September 10th at the IAA Motor Show in Frankfurt. Each of the finalists gave an inspiring 3 minute pitch on their vision of the future of mobility to a panel of experts and in front of a global audience via live stream.

Sandra’s hard work paid off and she was selected as the winner, for her vision of a world where shared, autonomous vehicles are integrated with public transportation to make mobility efficient and accessible for all.

After moving to Vancouver, Canada, from Switzerland in 2008, Sandra founded movmi Shared Transportation Services, an agency specialized in designing and building the architecture for shared transportation networks and new mobility services.

“Like all the other finalists, Sandra Phillips has thought outside the box,” said Hildegard Wortmann, Senior Vice President Brand BMW and a member of the expert panel in the initiative organised by BMW i and TED. “Her concept is already quite advanced and also considers the aspect of social change.””
